I first met Mario when he worked with what was Moncton Youth Residences at the time. He used to bring youth to our clinic, and he would tell me the benefits he received studying Choice Theory. He was experiencing the benefits while working with the youth.
Then one day he told me about a business plan. He and Jackie were going to open a new business called la Tarez. He had a big quality world picture of what he wanted to do. He would come and discuss his ideas about using CTRT with his potential clients. They built a wonderful Art and Event Center in Moncton. Over the years, I attended several events at La Teraz including networking events, Business and Professional Women. I even spoke at a couple of events.
He was so passionate about how using CT and Lead Management was so beneficial in creating satisfied clients. He showed me Lead Management in action.
Eventually he and his husband Jackie sold the center and moved to Mexico. Our community was sad to see them go but Mario loved adventure and people. He loved his family and often spoke of his brother and his mother, especially. We talked on Zoom and he wanted to learn how to teach the ideas in Mexico. We discussed many options. He began to learn Spanish and with his background in social work and his Emotional Fitness Coach training and Choice Theory he began to share with people one on one.
Upon trips home he would contact me on occasion and come for coQee. One time about three years ago, he contacted me and said he wanted to get involved more in the Choice Theory Community. I invited him to run for a position on the Glasser Canada Board and he joined our board and then people loved his desire and energy to meet people from around the world.
He ended up being recruited for the William Glasser International Board, where he served as a liaison to the Member Organizations around the world. He was so suited for this position, and he loved meeting all the people.
We at Glasser Canada and William Glasser International will miss you dear Mario. May you rest in peace.
